The Cornish Pumping Engine is the largest standing steam-driven pumping engine ever built in the United States and one of the largest pumping engines in the world  shows how the mammoth steam engine worked dewatering Iron Mountain's Chapin Mine, This museum also displays an extensive collection of mining equipment, dating from 1940 to about 1960, and contains the Museum Gift Shop.
